This courtyard garden sits within a three-sided barn conversion, at the centre of which sits a large listed barn built of Cotswold stone. The client wanted a large pool to be set within the garden, and that it should have the feeling of a water feature rather than a swimming pool. The materials used in the courtyard are chosen to speak to the vernacular and to provide variety within the space, with limestone setts and substantially sized paving slabs. Richly planted beds, with a range of perennial planting chosen for colour and interest, surround a small lawn and the swimming pool. Egg-shaped yew topiary adds fun and structure to the planting | Planted in Spring 2022.
