IN PROGRESS | In this typically sloped Hampstead garden we were asked by the clients to create somewhere that felt peaceful, romantic and beautiful whilst also being practical for them and their two small children. Working with the wonderful team at Studio Ashby we have a proposed a garden full of colour and movement. The front garden will be restored back to its early 20th century splendour, with planting re-introduced and climbers again scrambling over the house. The back garden features a small lawn surrounded by lush planting in turn punctuated by cloud-clipped low topiary shapes. A calm seating area at the back of the garden is separate from but able to see the children’s play area - complete with rustic wooden playhouse and space to grow sunflowers.
